The search for the Up the Clarets Player of the Year gets underway tonight following our League Cup game against Sheffield United. Soon after the final whistle, the man of the match vote will be available while the message board player ratings will be underway. As in previous seasons, the top four in each will be awarded points towards the player of the year with five going to the winner of each with the next three scoring three, two and one.

Will we have a new winner this season for our player of the year. Ben Mee won it in 2016/17, the first full season following the launch of Up the Clarets. Jόhann Berg Guðmundsson was the winner in 2017/18 with James Tarkowski having won it in each of the last two seasons.
