Mancini moves in at Accrington
Midfielder Anthony Gomez Mancini, who was released by Burnley last summer, has today signed a deal with Accrington Stanley until the end of the season.
Mancini, who we signed permanently from Angers in January 2021 after he initially arrived on a season long loan, has been without a club since leaving the Clarets having spent two years with our then under-23 squad but he’s been training at Stanley who have now completed a deal with him.
He played for their under-23s in a Central League game last week against Wrexham, a game Accrington won 2-1, and manager John Coleman said: “Anthony has come in and impressed in training and the under-23s game last week.
“He gives us something different, he’s got a good left peg, a good footballing brain and hopefully he can kickstart his career with us.”
Back in East Lancashire, Mancini said: “I’m excited, I’m ready for it and looking forward to being involved in games.”
