hart gibson vydraThe Played for Both Clubs feature on Up the Clarets has been updated this week following the close of the loan transfer window in the Football League at the end of August.

This feature lists each club in alphabetical order, showing all the players who have played competitive football for them and Burnley since the resumption of the league in 1946.

A number of players have been added since the start of the season and that includes our new signings Joe Hart, Ben Gibson and Matěj Vydra. Hart has been added to Shrewsbury, Manchester City, Tranmere, Blackpool, Birmingham and West Ham, Gibson to Middlesbrough, Plymouth and Tranmere with Vydra now added to Watford, West Brom, Reading and Derby.

Dean Marney, who left us in the summer, is now included with Fleetwood while Nahki Wells is added to the QPR list and other players who have worn the claret and blue to have played for new clubs this season are Danny Ings (Southampton), Keith Lowe (Macclesfield), Shay McCartan (Lincoln), Tyrone Mears (West Brom), Joseph Mills (who becomes the first ex-Claret to play for Forest Green), and Jason Shackell (Lincoln).
