Strikers take awards after Palace draw
The 3-3 home draw against Crystal Palace brought different winners in the man of the match vote and the player ratings with the two strikers claiming top billing.
It was Maxwell Cornet, for the third time since signing from Lyon, who won the man of the match award. He might have had one of his quieter games overall but no one will forget that stunning third goal that led to us earning a point.
Cornet polled 25% of the vote with the defence coming up behind him despite us conceding three goals. Ben Mee was second with a 22% share, followed by James Tarkowski and Charlie Taylor who took third and fourth places with 16% and 15% of the vote respectively.
A scorer in each of the last two home games, Chris Wood was the winner in the player ratings with 7.02 out of 10. Mee was again second with 6.96 with Cornet taking third place with a score of 6.03. Dwight McNeil and James Tarkowski jointly took fourth place with a rating of 6.60 out of 10.
Cornet, with seven, scored the most points towards the Up the Clarets Player of the Year while Mee won six points and Wood collected five points. Tarkowski received three points with one point each for McNeil and Taylor.
This result means Tarkowski goes two points clear of McNeil at the top of the table but Cornet is now just one point below McNeil.
