We should have been playing our FA Youth Cup tie against Norwich City this evening at Leyland but it’s been postponed as has our league game at Peterborough this coming Saturday.

Both games were called off yesterday and it comes as no surprise given the temperature is not expected to move up at all until after the weekend.

The Peterborough game has already been given a new date of 25th March, and the Coventry home game postponed last Saturday will now be played on 8th April but, as yet, there is no new date for the cup tie against Norwich. The cut off date for the third round is this Saturday but it looks as though a large number of the ties will now be played beyond this date. Despite both clubs reporting that it will be played on a date to be confirmed, the FA are now showing it as scheduled to be played next Monday, 19th December.

The winners will be at home to either Sheffield United or West Ham. They are due to play their third round game tomorrow afternoon at Scunthorpe’s Glanford Park.

UPDATE: FA Youth Cup tie now confirmed for Monday, 19th December and the friendly against Rangers on the following day has now been cancelled.
