Wood could return at Huddersfield

Chris Wood could be back in the reckoning for our game at Huddersfield after the injury he sustained against Spurs ruled him out of our Boxing Day clash at Manchester United.

But the news isn’t quite so good regarding Stephen Ward who is again expected to miss out with the knee injury sustained in the win against Stoke. Ward has been absent now for three games and that total is likely to reach five with him unlikely to be ready for the Liverpool game although Sean Dyche has reported that his injury is settling down.

He also confirmed that Tom Heaton is making good progress while James Tarkowski has had the hand operation and is doing well although he, of course, is currently out suspended.
