Youths cruise to win at Leeds
Our youth team have followed up last week’s 4-0 home win with a 3-0 victory at Leeds, our seventh victory this season in the U18 Premier League.
Michael Mellon (pictured) scored a hat trick last week and was among the goals again today having come on as a substitute but it was Dylan Moonan, just before half time who gave us the lead. Mellon came on just past the hour and went on to score twice in a seven minute period to complete the scoring.
We are at home to Newcastle next Saturday but before that we have our FA Youth Cup 3rd round tie against AFC Wimbledon this coming Thursday at Plough Lane.
The Burnley team was: Sam Waller, Jacson Coppack (Keelan Williams 61), Dan Sassi, Calen Gallagher-Allison, Matty Carson, Kade Ratchford (Jacob Hamilton 75), Dylan Moonan, Will Hugill, Dara Costelloe, Tremaine Eastmond (Michael Mellon 61), Sam Unwin. Subs not used: Will Couch, Dane McCullough.
