The under-23s recorded a biggest ever win in Premier League two this afternoon with a 4-1 victory against Fulham at the  London School of Economics.

With the game goalless at half time, we were quickly in our stride in the second half. We took the lead seven minutes into the half and ten minutes later were 3-0 up with the game won.

Rob Harker, who returned with a goal last week after a long spell out with injury, scored from close range after being set up by Lewis Richardson. Six minutes later we doubled the lead when central defender Richard Nartey turned the ball in from a corner.

And two became three after a handball in the box by a Fulham defender, allowing the reliable Max Thompson to step up and score from the spot, just what he’d done a week ago when he scored the stoppage time winner against Aston Villa.

Fulham did pull one back through substitute Sylvester Jasper but it was our substitute Joel Mumbongo who had the final word with Richardson once again the provider.

The win has taken us up to third in the table for now although Wolves will have the opportunity to go back above us when they face Middlesbrough in three days time.

The teams were;

Fulham: Taye Ashby-Hammond, Ziyad Larkeche, Connor McAvoy, Ibane Bowat, Luciano D’Auria-Henry, Fabio Carvalho, Oliver O’Neill, Adrion Pajaziti (Sylvester Jasper 59), Tyrese Francois, Jay Stansfield, Mika Biereth (Jean-Pierre Tiehi 59). Subs not used: Alexander Borto, Luca Murphy, Sonny Hilton.

Burnley: Marc Richter, Jordan Cropper, Richard Nartey, Anthony Glennon, Matty Rain, Max Thompson, Anthony Gomez Mancini (Dara Costelloe 73), Kade Ratchford, Ne-Jai Tucker, Lewis Richardson, Rob Harker (Joel Mumbongo 66). Subs not used: Lewis Thomas, Calen Gallagher-Allison, Sam Unwin.
